Pedra Branca is a massive granite cliff located on the border between the municipalities of São José and Palhoça.
From its height of 500 meters, you can admire the entire island of Santa Catarina, from north to south. In total, we covered 6 km.
Long recognized as a landmark—since it can be seen from various locations in the region—the Pedra Branca trail offers a spectacular view of Greater Florianópolis.

Your reservation will be confirmed upon advance payment of 25% of the total cost of the activity. The balance must be paid at least 7 days before the activity takes place. For reservations made less than 7 days in advance, full payment is required.

Cancellation by the Customer
Cancellations made 7 days or more in advance will receive a full refund.
For cancellations made between 7 days and 24 hours before the activity, 25% of the total amount will be retained.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance or failure to show up for the activity will not be refunded, subject to the rights provided by law.

If the activity is canceled by Família na Trilha due to weather conditions that compromise safety, access difficulties, operational issues, or other circumstances that prevent its safe conduct, the customer may choose to reschedule or receive a full refund of the amounts paid.

Morro da Pedra Branca is located on the border between the municipalities of São José and Palhoça, around 20km of the Florianópolis downtown. The access route used for our activity is via Sertão do Maruim, in São José. This large granite formation, standing about 500 meters high, is easily recognizable in the region’s landscape and should not be confused with the Pedra Branca neighborhood in Palhoça.
Is the Pedra Branca Trail difficult?
The Morro da Pedra Branca Trail is approximately 6 km out-and-back trail, with an elevation gain of about 487 meters and takes roughly 5 hours to complete. The ascent features uneven terrain and steeper sections, requiring determination and physical fitness. Before booking, we can assess the participants’ profiles to determine whether the trail is suitable for the group.

The summit of Morro da Pedra Branca offers a sweeping view of Greater Florianópolis. Can children hike the Pedra Branca Trail?
Yes, depending on the child’s experience, independence, and physical fitness. The Pedra Branca Trail features a steep climb and uneven terrain, so we evaluate each case before booking. For younger children, we have a special child carrier backpack available for rent. It can be used for children who can already sit up on their own and weigh up to 22 kg. We also discuss with the family beforehand whether this carrier is suitable for this trail.
